Description
The Brothers Social Circle is a monthly social gathering organised by the Green Lane Masjid Cancer Support Service for brothers who have been affected by chronic illnesses.
Living with a chronic illness, supporting someone through their journey, or caring for a loved one can sometimes feel challenging and isolating. This gathering provides an opportunity for brothers to come together in a more relaxed and informal setting, away from the pressures of appointments, treatments and daily responsibilities.
Through food, games and conversation, brothers can enjoy an evening of laughter, friendship and connection with others who may share similar experiences.
The aim of The Brothers Social Circle is to create a welcoming environment where attendees can unwind, build friendships and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within the community.
Whilst the Shifa’a Club provides a space for more meaningful discussions, support and reflection around the challenges of chronic illness, The Brothers Social Circle focuses on creating moments of joy, relaxation and companionship through social activities and shared experiences.
As the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The believer is to the believer like parts of a building, each one of them supporting the other.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
Our first Brothers Social Circle gathering will take place on Wednesday 9th September from 6:00pm–7:30pm at Green Lane Masjid.
Future gatherings will take place on the second Wednesday of every month, inshaAllah.
We look forward to welcoming you for an evening of food, games, laughter and brotherhood. We hope this will be a space where brothers can relax, connect and enjoy meaningful companionship within the community, inshaAllah.
Register your interest below and a member of the team will be in touch.
