Sponsor Iftar at Green Lane Masjid

All praise is due to Allah (SWT), who has allowed us to reach another blessed month of Ramadan in sha Allah and has enabled us, year after year, to serve those who come to His house to worship and break their fast.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:“Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

By the grace of Allah (SWT) and through the generosity of our community, Green Lane Masjid & Community Centre has continued to provide iftar for hundreds of fasting brothers and sisters every evening in Ramadan.

This year, we are making a small but thoughtful change in the way iftar is provided. Instead of serving full hot meals, we will be distributing iftar packs.

This change has been made with care and reflection, to reduce food wastage, use resources more responsibly and ensure that every portion given is valued and used.

Imagine the reward of enabling hundreds of people to open their fast each evening throughout this blessed month.

Contents of the iftar pack

Each iftar pack contains simple, nourishing items to break the fast: Bread, Yoghurt, Fruit, Dates, Juice

You may sponsor iftar for a night or contribute any amount towards the daily provision.

We ask Allah (SWT) to accept this from you, to place barakah in your wealth, and to grant you the full reward of every fast opened through your generosity.
